(Programme concluded and no longer supported by the Trafigura Foundation)

The WomenChangeMakers programme was officially launched in Brazil in August 2011. It strives to identify the most promising social entrepreneurs promoting women’s empowerment in innovative and system-changing ways. It is a programme for women, run by women.

For a period of three years, these entrepreneurs receive direct support from WomenChangeMakers but also access a network of professional and specialised partners who have rallied around the project and who can offer HR, legal and financial management skills. This system helps them acquire the skills, secure the resources, and design the adequate economic model they need to scale up their ventures and impact the broader community.

Every year, six fellows are selected and supported to scale up their business: three in India and three in Brazil.
