Beyond sport, an award to celebrate the unique project of Alive and Kicking

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Alive and Kicking, a partner supported by the Puma Energy Foundation and Trafigura Foundation, has received a major international award for its work in Ghana, Kenya and Zambia. On July 26th,CEO Glenn Cummings was in New York to receive the 'Sport for Quality Education and Employment Award' from Beyond Sport, an organisation dedicated to bringing together influencers and innovators from sport, business, government and development to discuss how sport can address social issues and trigger positive change.

Glenn Cummings said: "It is a great honour to accept this award on behalf of all Alive and Kicking staff. To be recognised by our peers is a brilliant endorsement of Alive and Kicking's unique way of using sport to create proper jobs and deliver health education. An amazing achievement by a committed, talented group of people."

We welcome with enthusiasm this event and congratulate Alive and Kicking, whose presence in Africa is making a real difference for many young people, as witnessed by one of the beneficiaries of the programme in this video.
