Community Centre in Yushu - China
Feasability Study
In coordination with the Shanghai Charity
Committee, CSR&Company (our intermediary in China) has
suggested to replicate the successful community-centre model
established in Sichuan after the 2008 earthquake, in Yushu.
At the moment, the Foundation has decided to support
stage 1 in order to validate the project and have it designed
according to the needs that will be defined through the
fact-finding mission.
Stage 1 would mainly consist in:
- Organising
cross-project visits and discussions between Yushu and Luoshui
stakeholders (community representatives, local authorities, local
NGOs), with a view to design a similar approach for the Yushu
community
- Collecting
data and facts about the needs in Yushu
- Invite
kids from Yushu to spend summer holidays in the Luoshui Community
Centre.
