EcoPo, Lubumbashi-DRC
Economic and Political Sciences Graduate School
The EcoPo graduate school has open its
doors in October 2010. Its goal is to train a new generation of
Congolese professionals in governance, economic and financial
management which the country direly needs. It has started on
a modest scale, in partnership with the Salesians (one of Africa’s
most prominent educational network) with 50 students for
school-year 2010/2011, for a short cycle of 3 years leading to a
Masters diploma (duly recognised at national level). 130 students
have registered for the 2011/2012 school-year. For the time being,
EcoPo is located in premises made available by the Salesians.
A new Campus for the future
is planned as EcoPo wishes to develop further with a view
to welcome up to 2,000 students in 5 years. The Campus would host
EcoPo, as well as an IT school, an Architecture school, some other
specialized schools and common premises.
