Projects
The Trafigura Foundation funds some 40
different projects, many of them on a multi-year basis. Each year,
a number of new proposals are being reviewed by the Foundation,
with approximately a dozen selected as new projects.
Except in natural disasters and emergency
situations, where immediate relief is required, we favour medium-
and long-term programmes, to maximize their potential for
sustainability and success. The projects vary in size and duration,
but their common purpose is to create genuine, positive and
long-lasting changes for their beneficiaries. We like to
support projects which encourage the communities to take
responsibility for their own future and help them reach their full
potential.
