New projects selected
After its last Board Meeting on 31 August 2011, the Trafigura
Foundation has selected 6 projects to support in Africa, Latin
America and Europe.
In Ghana, the Foundation will support Alive & Kicking for
the development of a new football stitching venture, similar to the
one in Zambia which we had supported in 2010/2011 and which has
proven very succesful.
In Togo, we will continue our suport to a centre providing
health, social and nutritional care for people infected or affected
by HIV/AIDS.
One project in Honduras, the Taular institute, providing
education for low-income families students in Tegucigalpa.
In Peru, continuous support of the community-oriented programmes
developed by the Fundación Integración Comunitaria (FIC).
In Geneva, continuous support for camarada to develop their
alphabetisation and integration programmes for migrant women in a
second centre.
In London, continuous support to the National Autistic Society
for the creation of a web-based training platform on autism,
offering employments to young autistic adults.
