Lucerne (Switzwerland)
The Lucerne Charity Committee was founded in
May 2008. Through the matching funds provided by the
Trafigura Foundation, we have managed to support various projects
in the local community.
Projects supported by the LuCC:
"House Hagar"
House Hagar is a shelter for women in
need, women who are passing through a difficult period in
their life. House Hagar try to support women and children on
their way from a difficult situation back into a normal
life, bringing them support along this long road.
They provide space where they can take a breath and get their
orientation in life back. The house is a place of comfort and
safety.
"Plusport - Handicap Sport
Switzerland"
With the furniture sales of the old office in
Lucerne the LuCC was able to support
the Plusport Winter sports camps with the equipment
needed: Mono skibob, dual ski, dual snowboard, etc.
The goal of this Swiss organisation is to promote integration
and personal development through sport.
"Asylum Seekers in Zug"
A Xmas fundraising event has been organised in the
Trafigura office in Lucerne. This money allowed children from the
centre to spend a joyful time.
