Buenos Aires (Argentina)
The Buenos Aires Charity Committee (“BACC”) is
composed by 5 Trafigura employees. It held its first meeting
in March 2011 and is dedicated to raise funds and to support local
charity organisations and projects proposed by its members (and the
rest of the BA employees).

Cascos Verdes
Cascos Verdes is a non-profit
organisation dedicated to raising environmental awareness through
the implementation of social inclusive programmes.
Their goal is an integrated society that will
improve our world, the world we will leave to the future
generations. An employee of the BA office introduced
Cascos Verdes to the Trafigura Foundation which is supporting their
programmes since 2009.
Cascos verdes
provides college education for young people
with mental disabilities (generally Down syndrome) in
environmental matters and after two years of
University, they graduate as ¨Environmental Educators¨.
An exposition in Trafigura has been scheduled
for May 2011, when the “Environmental Educators” are coming to the
BA office to give us some tips on how be more aware of the
environment inside and outside the office.

Instituto Balseiro
The Balseiro Institute is located at the city of Bariloche, in
the Patagonia. It teaches Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering and Medical Physics at graduate and post-graduate
levels. The centre strives to produce excellent professional
scientists and engineers.
Trafigura BA contributes to the Balseiro Institute´s
scholarship program, which allows the most distinguished students
to study full time.

Fundación Alegría
The Alegría Foundation was created in 1997 and is located at the
province of Salta, in the north of Argentina. The main goal of this
non governmental organisation is to work on the health and social
areas, helping children whose families are unable to cope with
their basic needs. It seeks to safeguard the health of
children and their mothers, promote their rights and improve their
life quality.
Trafigura BA cooperates with this Foundation by granting
a donation every month to help with the development of their
projects.

Year end raffle
In the last few years, Trafigura BA decided to
implement a new way of raising funds to cooperate with local
charity organisations proposed by the employees. This method
consists of a raffle at our year end celebration.
The Trafigura Foundation promotes this
activity through the matching funds program by granting the same
amount of money that Trafigura BA collects in the raffle.
